Essentuals?

I have gotten a fare bit of dosh for Christmas and just wanted to know what people think are the really importent things you shouldnt leave home without when goin fishing?
I got the rod, reel, line and plyers a nippers covered just other things like lures, scents and jigheads and other things like that.
After i get the Daiwa Laguna and the book on how to get bream on lure and fly ill have about $200 and ill probly be getting a $50-$80 fly reel with that $200 as well but thats not for sure yet.

I thought i would get alot less for Christmas and i had planned what i would spend my money but now i have gotten more i really dont know what to get. I suppose i could just blow it all on lures hahaha

If you don't already have them a set of polarised sun glasses would be a good investment. You can get them from about $25.oo

Get the BREAMIN I & II dvd? Or the Squidgy DVD? Should be a worthwhile investment.

haha... the things you can buy for fishing are endless... Like a new digital camera, some good polarised sunnies(spotters, maui jim, etc), lip grip with scales(for measuring those big mama breams), a good fishing bag for all those lures, etc... the list goes on and on...

Well i think this is what im gonna get.

Daiwa Laguna 2000

Bream on Lures and Flies

River2sea Shed 60 the gold and orange

Berkley Fireline 125yd Spool - 8lb Smoke

Slider 1.5" - Hot Pink

Slider 1.5" - Glow Minnow

Slider 3" - Camouflage

Slider 3" - Glo

Berkley Vanish Flurocarbon Line (250 yd) - 12lb

Rebel Teeny Wee Deep Craw - Stream Crawfish

What do u think? The hevier line is for bigger fish like salmon, pinkies and maybe the odd small mullaway obviously not bream.

Mate, one question: Why would you get the 2000 Laguna and not the 1500?

And go the 4lb FLAME GREEN Fireline, not 8lb SMOKE.

Have fun buying the goodies..

Cheers

At the bottom of the list of stuff im getting i wrote why im getting the 8lb fireline because ill be chasing some bigger fish like Salmon, pinkies and the acational small mullaway.

Also you think the 2000 model is too big for bream?
cos i want to be able to handle the odd big fish.
