Question abu 5501c4

I am building a samurai 004 (6ft for 2-4 kg line) into a bait caster and am looking at a new reel for Christmas.
I have an abu2500ci which I luv but would like a left hand wind.
Has anyone been using the Abu 5501c4? on this type of rod.
I can pick one up for around $155.00 from Mo tackle.
Thanks
Tom

Hi,
I think you might find a 5501 is a bit big if you're going to use it on bream and the like. Casting really light stuff is going to be an effort. If you can put up with the right hand wind I'd stick with your 2500C as it is much more suitable for lightweight spinning as well as being much better built.
Cheers,

Tom,
Sorry, but I've never used one so I honestly couldn't say. I believe they are pretty popular though so some other members might have had experience with them. Good luck, I think it is a rewarding experience to be able to take bream consistently on baitcaster gear. More satisfying than using the easier eggbeater stuff.
Cheers,
Rigzz
