Mercury XR6 VS. Optimax

Hey guys i had a quick look around and couldn't dind too much info.

Just wondering what the difference between a 150XR6 and the 150 optimax.

Is it a yearmodel difference ? a performance difference or internatiol name difference.

Some of the boats im looking at in the states have the xr6 and some the opti.

Thanks in advance guys

Xr6 = 2.5l Carbed motor= strong and reliable, noisy,dirty and thirsty.

Opti = 2.5l Direct Injection = strong and reliable, a little noisy but clean and very economical.
