fireline changing ends!
G'day guys,
I was just wondering if any one using fireline has noticed that it starts to fade after a while. When i throw a long cast out with the wind, i can start to see the fresher, new stuff underneath. My question is how can i change the line around by putting the fresh stuff at the front and old stuff at the back? Has anyone done this and how did you do it? Thanks, Luke. .

The easiest was is to have a spare spool the same as the one you use, just swap them over and wind it straight onto the empty spool - be careful about how the line comes off the spool to avoid twist.
Harder, but gets the job done, is to have two old large handlines (the ones the old time bottom bashers use). Wind the line off the spool onto one of them, then from that one to the second one, then back onto the reel. I hope this makes sense Cheers,
