Ghost Blades - Cheap?

DohDohDoh have them in their current catalogue, 2 for $25.00. Is that a good price? Are they a recomended lure?
Should I race out and buy some?
Which colours should I get?

Cheers

Seen them around for about $13 - $15 so I guess you would be saving a couple of bucks. As for colours, I would grab purple glim, aussie green gold and golden nog.

I have heard reports of the Ghosts cracking and breaking in half from hitting bridge pylons. I haven't used them yet, that was just a word from someone I know in a tackle store

Some people have seen me cast before and know it is not always pretty. I have never cracked a ghost on a pylon. I spoke with a couple of places before they even came out and they seemed convinced they would break on impact. The guys at TT lure have assured me they spent a lot of time making these little things tougher than you would expect.

lazzylure,
i think that your post is a bit ignorant, I would not mind it as much if you were posting from personal experience. Believe half of what you hear and all of what you see. I have smacked these lures into bridge pylons, rocks, moored boats and am yet to crack one.

Just my opionion,
Dabreama

Bit over the top maybe. Lazylure was very clear in his post that it was not from experience but had "heard"

The grape vine is a great source of information. If I was researching something I would appreciate it if people had told me what they had heard even if they hadn't experienced it.

"I heard" is not a good enough reason to discredit a product in IMO. Anyway the less people that use them the better chance I will have in a comp!

In no way was he discrediting the product. He didn't give his opinion rather that he had "heard" so that people look out for this.

No not sponsored by them, it would probably be in my sig. I don't work for them, it would probably be in my sig. I have however had a tackle shop owner who didn't stock Jackall Chubbies, tell me that they rubbish and not worth stocking!

Anyway i will leave it there!

ghost blades

Hi fellas,

How far can you realistically cast them as they seem very light and how well do they fly through the air.

cheers

A couple of meters less than the metal ones. not a huge difference. Certainly further than a normal HB
