Kayak rod holders

hey guys just recently got a kayak and i want to put a rod holder on it. can you get ones that have a mount thats attached to the yak and the hoder its self comes on and off while for travling? if so where can i get them from?

not 100% sure, but i do believe that scotty make some rod holders designed for yaks'

If you have a Hobie kayak dealer near you they usually have them and all the accessories.

Lots of info on fitting out your kayak at the Australian Kayak Fishing Forum:

Scotty make a few different types with removable holder and permanently mounted base. Berkley make a cheaper version which also has a removable holder, it's not quite as nice as the Scotty but still adequate. Any tackle shop (like BCF) or boatyard should have them.
