Shimano Raider 2

HI ALL

I have narrowed it down to the Shimano Raider 2 split grip can any one give me any comments on this ? This is supposed to be the new one from Shimano so the sales person told me as well it is a better rod then the old raider . Of course the new one is more expensive I dont care if its the new model or the old model as long it is good .

The mexican fire rods aren't that great. Go for the trions. They are much cheaper and IMO outperform the raiders.

Cheers

My bro has a Rack Raider, i am not sure how the finesse breams are. The rack raiders are very floppy. All the guides are huge and 4 of them are the same size. The Pflueger Trion is cheaper and a much better rod.

Cheers

I cant comment on the split grip model but I have a Raider II Finesse 762 and it performs very well. The series 2 are an upgrade over the originals with improved real seats and a couple of other things that I cant remember.

I have a raider travel in the old series. I think the new mexican fire rods are the same blanks as the older ones with upgraded??( prettier only I think) handles. Guides aren't fuji anymore but still look OK.
I don't think they're crap, but I have a pflueger trion tournament that costs about the same but is a much better rod IMHO.
