Molloy Caravan Park August

hey guys,

if anyone is travelling to augusta i just wanna recommend molloy caravan park. me n the missus went camping there about a month ago and it was awesome. the park owner rick was really cool, even let us borrow his bream setup (shame my one piece couldn't fit in the mazda or i woulda brought it - bringing the two piece beach rod was big regret!). he also let us borrow a canoe one day n we went for a fish around molloy island with sp's which was awesome, some great sights. all in all it was a great place to stay, waking up on the rivers edge in the morning was spectacular. been meaning to send him a thankyou note but haven't got round to it (heartless ba***rd i am)

Thats normally where we all stay whenever the comps were on. Always a good place for a stay, even had a whiting comp one night in the rain from the ramp when we were bored. But certainly agree, top place and probably the best if your doing some bream fishing.

cheers

Also try the Pebble cottage on Molloy island. Cheap & quaint.

loved the fact that you could leave your boat over night in one of the little dug outs on the river bank apart from the mud on your hull it was handy
over all we found it a good place to stay

sorry fireblood i know this is a really delayed response but I forgot to check this thread for a while. dont think they have an actual website but this site tells you most of what you'd want to know:

http://www.west-oz.com/product.asp?id=422

and i know what you mean about the roo's haha! few thumpers around when i was there too, just glad i didn't see any resembling the big Q..."not anymore"
