Stren Braid

Hi, I am thinking of buying some 4lb Stren "Microfuse" braid.
Has anyone used it? Got any information of it and its effectiveness is catching Bream?

personaly Suzie id rather use Fire Line , Nitlon or Daiwa TD Sensor Braid the Nitlon and Sensor braid are very subtle and soft and a thinner diametre.

i had two pound stren was good not many wind knots but now i just stick with 4 pound nitlon for the time being. also used the daiwa that was also good. not big fan of fireline seems a bit waxxy and stiff, were as nitlon seems softer i don't know if any of that makes sense

Makes very good sence man, the fire line does feel waxie as opposed to the nitlon. Nitlon does have a smaller diametre and is very soft it can be very open to wind knots though same with the sensor braid (as iv found out) the fact that the fire line is abit stiffer does make it less prone to wind knots.
One thing i saw the other day though was a Braid from sunline which will be on sale soon, it was 10lb and i kid you not it was thinner than 4lb Nitlon!!! it only goes down to 6lb and that stuff is even thinner!!!

Suzie, i think its worth giving different types of Braid untill your happy with one that works best for you and you might find, as i have, that as you develope as an angler you needs in your line will change and develope as well.
thats just what iv found.

Fins is a good crossover, nowhere near as waxy as fireline, and it softens up with use, so it becomes more like the bass hard and nitlon in terms of softness. I recommend it to all my customers looking to move from mono or fireline. I can;t really say a bad thing about it =D
