personally I think there isnt any out there. Its all personal preference. You can get Black diamond to customise one for you or rebuild what you think is the best HB rod for you.

The Berkely ProTactics are a nice rod,
I have a 7" 2-5 kg really good sesitive tip with heaps of guts as well, should find one for under $300 bucks.

Not the best going around but a nice comfortable one. light and well balanced is the Pflueger Trion. you can pick one up, 7ft 2-4kg split grip For under $120.
Good buy imo.

Also,
you cant see the split grip, but this rod is in my avatar.
A flathead (decent size) on an sx40, so it definately suits hardbodies. Not bad on plastics either.
But take a look at the trions anyway.

steez storm shadow rod's are pretty sweet so light and sensitive, imo are pretty good for hardbodies but also versatile for anything.

pfluger trion are quite good for around $110 i own a 4-6kg and a pfluger trion tournament bait caster barra specialest personally i dont think it would handle impourment barra to well they are not very stiff at tip but it is good for the barra around the bay but i did have a native specialest first but snapped it at the borumba trip and i took it back and they gave me a new one they think i must have had a dodgy one.
cheers BK
