these are great rods, i used my mates once back on the Goldie cause he wanted to use my raider and we where catching 3kg big eye trevs also very light and perfect for bream.
we are doing a catana combo rod with a sienna 2500 and a free stiffy lure for $99.00 plus youll also get 5% off at the store feel free to drop a line.

hi dilbanger,

i have a cantana 701 with a penn affinity 3000 which is maybe a tad to heavy for this rod balance wise, i use it to flick soft plastics around which i think is a great little rod for the price. one fishing trip down at mallacoota i swapped rods with a mate who has a berkley dropshot and and after half a dozen casts asked for my rod back (maybe i'm just used to own set up). i'll use anything from a resin jighead with a small grub up to a 1/4oz jighead with a berkley pogy and has no problems casting these sort of weights (guessing maybe all up 12 grams?). i also find that it casts accurately, at the moment i'm looking to upgrade to a nitro rod.

cheers

enviroman
