Thumbs down Broke my BD

Well to cut a long story short, I went for a very quick flick today and got snagged, and while trying to de-snag it whilst holding my rod horizontally, the knot gave and WHACK, the rod recoils back into a pylon.

So now the top half of my rod is broken and it's hanging on by a thread. I also took off the tip guide ring (not the whole guide), and it got tangled in the line so I still have it.

Does the warranty cover this? I've owned the rod for a bit under a year. Can I buy only the top piece of my rod instead of a completely new rod? Cindy; any advice as to what to do now?

Any advice apreciated.

P.S. The model is a Clear-Cut 6'6" 1-3kg 2-piece with the ultra short butt.

That sucks man! Broke my Strudwick SicStik into 4 pieces while attaching a lure to the stripper guide. First time i used it too. The rod was only 3 days old. Cost me $70 for a new tip section! Lernt a lesson the hard way. Hope it doesnt cost you too much. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I dropped a PM to cindy and I'll see how it pans out. I didn't think the warranty would cover it, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Drop Cindy a PM and let her know what happened. She can let you know what can be done.

HTH.
