Level 5/6 water restrictions for Brisbane

Hi Guys,
I've done a a bit of research and spoke with some people at the waterboard and council. With the current level 5 water restrictions and coming level 6 in the next few weeks, all boaters should be aware of the new legislation.

You are allowed to wash the trailer lights and brakes and flush the outboard motor with townwater. But you are not allowed to wash the springs/rollers/trailer or outboard engine itself.

The council beleives that there are commercially available products to prevent corrosion on the trailer. These products are not environmentally friendly at all. If the brakes/bearings seize when you are on the road and cause an accident, the vehicle owner is liable for all the damage and is not covered under most insurance policies (owners responsibility to maintain the vehicle for safe use on the road, but how can we when there are these laws in place) but hey thats typical what we expect from the government departments!

FOOD for THOUGHT!
