i went down to a private dam to go and catch some yellow belly/golden perch on fly i was casting and second cast broke my fly rod
i was siting around watching the block i was with catching nice goldens and then he said have a go with my rod so i did and then 20 mins later last cast he said then he was talking to me about when the golden goes for your fly they sometimes head butt it and thats exactly what happened as i hooked one and landed it finding it was hooked in the head but still a good fight.
