-- Bream Rod for $300 - $400?

G'day all,

I’m looking for a Bream Rod for general all-round use... Ill be using plastics mainly…

Budget: $300 - $400

I've been looking around and narrowed it down to the Nitro PowerBream 7'

Can anyone recommend any other rods that fall in my budget, or just over?

The rod will be matched with a JDM Shimano SR Twinpower 2000

Thanks in advance,

Shev

Don't forget to consider our ClearCut Plus as they fall in that bracket.

If you're going to look at the Black Diamonds, then I'd lean towards the Crankbait or the 2-5kg Flats Ranger both in CPlus.

HTH. Happy hunting.

Good to see you signed up! (It's Paul from CA Moorabin)

Can't go wrong with the loomy that Brad mentioned, or the powerbream like we talked about

So I see you've gone with the twinpower, very shmick mate. can't go wrong there!

How it goin Shev there are quite a few rod in this price range you could go for .Black Diamond certainly have a number of great rod to chose from . I purchase a ClearCut earlier this year and have been more than happy with it . The service they offer at BD is second to none. The loomis Brad mention is another top rod , great for flicking placcies around , but still capable of casting aroun those little hB s and has an adjustable reel seat , so you can set the reel down low or up high .
I also just purchased a Daiwa Heartland z Hama special Saegake , and it is an awesome rod , another rod greta for the placcies , but still maintaining enough strenth for little Hbs. There are also a number of great rods in the Team Daiwa battler series , there are a tad over the 400 mark but if your up in that range it may pay to save a bit more and go that extra .. Cheers Nick

I would either get one of the Shimano T-Curve Flight series rods or one of the G-Loomis Bronze Back series rods, or maybe something made by Strudwick, like one of the Softbodz finesse models.

All of these rods are top shelf, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Shimano T-Curve Flight. I have just an ordinary T-Curve and it is FANTASTIC!

Budget Change

Thanks for all of the recommendations everyone...

Lucky for me, my girlfriend is chipping in some extra cash, so I’m looking at the Loomis DSR820s in either GLX or IMX graphite.

Cindy, Bream Addict and Brad Y, I can’t seem to send off a reply to your PM’s... not sure why, but thank you very much for the offers... I’ll keep your offers in mind if anything changes.

Thanks again for all the advice. I'll keep you all posted to what I get.

Shev
