My biggest yellowfin bream was caught in the "Brisbane Waters" system on the Central Coast of NSW, on bait (whole pilly on ganged hooks meant for jew!), at night, from shore, in January, many years ago.
I am sure it is not a record breaker among you gents, but it weighed in at 1.6kg cleaned. (And no, I wouldn't keep the fish if I had caught it in the last few years, so keep the flaming to a minimum)
My biggest black bream weighed in at about 900 grams alive, so still a little one, from the same system.
I do not know lengths on either.

I am yet to crack the kilo on lure for either species!!! (At least when I have a scale with me to prove it )

Was it a registered catch? If people don't get the record confirmed, it doesn't get noted.

That pic is in this thread.

BTW, I noticed that WA's biggest Bludger is only 11.113 kg. We grow 'em much bigger over in Vic

Hey Daniel,
here's one of those 50cm + bream caught under the narrows on a king prawn. I might of been fishing with your boss.
Bit longer than 15 years ago though.
Cheers,
Ron.
