New Dropshots

Picked up my replacement Dropshot rod today after warranty was fasttracked by John Bell from Purefishing Australia. In his email to me he stated this
Quote:
We are introducing two new levels of Dropshot rods shortly, an IM7 Pro tournament range and IM8 Pro Tactic series. These rods are very cutting edge and hopefuly will find the same level of acceptance the IM 6 series has
. It will be interesting to see how they perform and at what price.

i disagree angler 3.55 i think you will be hard pressed to find a rod for $89 thats better than a dropshot other than pinpoints, i own a pinpoint aswell as a dropshot and agree the pinpoint is the better rod. but as for saying "for the price that u pay for a dropshot u can get some MANY better rods, dropshots are cheap and feel like crap" i think you are very wrong.
i think shimanos are crap but lets not get you started on that

Hope so. They might be the rods I've been looking for for a while.

yeah see your talking about the 2-4kg i presume, i dont like 2-4 dropshots either i think they are too stiff, maybe try a 1-3kg before you class all dropshots as crap

Funny that, I also found the 2-4 kg dropshots too stiff, but the 1-3 kg a little too soft for my liking.

I wouldn't rush to say they're crap. They're just not everyone's cup of tea. IMHO they could do with some work. Hopefully the introduction of a new better range (with the obvious price increase) will offer better products. You may even see better components and better builds, and designs based on user feedback (short butts: no more Dropshot meets hacksaw!!).
