Different location, same result

The planned trip eventuated and while there were lots of little taps at the kiddies feral pond, only one hookup. Feeling the need for a trip to some "man water".

Yeah the freshly released stockies dont have the same luster as those that have been swiming around for a while. I spose it serves us right for trying to take the "easy" option.

Hell yeah - Now thats got me thinking.

Most of our water storages are so low a surface lure is about all you could run with out snagging the bottom.

Congrats on the cod - Night time and surface too - Sounds like a hell of alot of fun.

You have 2 choices - you can believe I'm a lying butthole - or you are just going to have to accept that the fish are there but you cant catch them.
I cant believe you lied to me.

G'day Yellow door 1,

Went fishing down the Coopers a few weeks ago, caught a 93cm Murry Cod on my new fresh water set up using Squidy Spinner baits and around five decent sized Catfish, all of wich went back into the water after a few happy shots. The Cod was the first thing I ever caught on the new set up. Not a bad way to break it in I thought.

Cheers Nugget.
