Thanks Fishyman, i never really considered that option, but it could be a goer.
I certainly dont want to load up the boat to much and that is a great way lighten up the load. |

Have been a tad quiet on the construction front due to the Cold weather. So i recommenced last Saturday on the back section of the hull.
As well as the flooring, a livewell was in order, so after doing a bit of field testing to work out the best location to stick the well. I came to the conclusion that there needed to be more weight down back. The area was measured and the best product to fit the bill was a Nylex Recycling tub. So i collected all the ingredients and started cooking.... by Saturday night the base of the well was in a plumbed... |

After a bit more cutting, drillling, bending, folding, sanding and ironing the rear section of the deck was almost there
Will finish off the final pieceof deck, to sit behind the motor this week, and then work out some chairs |

beautiful workmanship there. Would love this boat for myself. I imagine though you will be working that 15hp pretty hard though. If money permits an upgrade to double that would probably be worthwhile. Wouldn't be surprised if it was more economical because you don't have to work it so hard. Thanks for going to the effort of posting the progress up because it has been quite interestin.

I initailly thought that i would have trouble getting the boat on the plane, but she popped up with ease. My biggest concern was the front dipping while fishing, as the motor is so light it doesnt counter balance weight when two are up on th front casting deck. It will handle this but there was certainly a tilt to the setup. This is the reason i decided to put the well at the back and i will also shed weight from the front by moving the deep cycle batteries to either the very back or centre. More field testing is required. |

Looking good Nick. How many more sleeps before WE give it a run? I'm not real good on boats though, here's a pic of Fats' and me on his maiden voyage. Greg
