My mate also wanted me to make a knife rack for his bait board. I was originally going to just make a pan flute arrangement and screw it on but I didnt like the way the knifes rattled around in the round pipe.

So with my new found skills as a PVC Bender I saw potential for greatness.
I'm just mastering the new materials - but on my first attempt I managed to make a perfect slot for the knife - its a 2 stage docking - stage one holds it firmly in place but still easy to slip out with one hand - but if you shove the knife further down it locks into place and you have to give it a good yank to get it out |

you did go too far, which makes it right - hats off.
A little tip for other pvc benders out there - if you want to make some nice rod holders (rocket launchers) - heat up one end of the pipe then press down over a stubby to get the professional flared end look. I find it helps to drink several stubs and then pick one thats just right......thats my excuse anyhow. |

Well its been a stella couple of days on the innovating front.
Learning to bend plastic has greased up the mind cogs. First up was this Gem - I'm pretty tough so I ride and fish late at night. I bought a new light thats like staring into a strobe because of my unique mounting on the front of a basket. When I was watering the tomatoes, I spotted these beauties and the solution to my problem was only minutes away... Last edited by yellow door 1; 09-12-2015 at 03:12 AM. |

A couple of cuts with the braid scissors - bend and heat the bend to set it - couple of Zip ties and a bit of a broom handle - and its done - No more distracting strobe

I mentioned the tomatoes - and another problem has presented itself - to do it with a hose takes forever and wastes both water and time - a milk bottle zip tied to the stake - punch 3 little holes in the side near the base - and the water goes where you want it to

and no plastic bender should be without the proper gear - a ping pong table and a candle is yesterdays news
