Hi Ruski
you can rig the 6" worms on any available jighead from a no:4 thru to a 1/0. The 4" worms need to be rigged on a jighead without a collar like a Gamakatsu Cobra. |

Yeah Salmo, you hit the nail on the head - the KG DOES hit different to the bream which has teeth for grabbing and holding.... the whiting hasn't those teeth - just inhales everything - easily seen by the perfect whole nippers or crabs in the gut. Unfortunately, this makes the whiting more prone to being hooked down deep, while the bream don't often inhale, unless the bait or lure REALLY tiny.

Personally I use the Enviro minnow heads as they float a little better to me, usually in a size 2 or 1. The key is to take the first 25mm off the head to get to the fatter part of the body.
HTH.

or are you discussing resin heads when you said float ? Just wish to confirm before purchasing any. Great thread topic. Bit tired of having the back end chewed off the sandworms. |

Profile head mate. I don't use the resin heads. If I want lighter then I use the HWS jigs from TT.
