What sort of motor do I have?

Hey guys,

Picked up a new boat yesterday that came equipped with this Minn Kota i pilot 54lb trolling motor

So I'm wondering if anybody can tell me if it is the Riptide SP or Riptide ST?

Also if I can use the ipilot and a foot control at the same time?

thanks guys
Chester

Can't remember the model codes, but I'm very sure you can't use both the foot pedal with that model picture, remote only.

I own the model that you can use both and it looks different to yours.

If it's an ST model you can attach the foot control as an option for about $180. The way to tell if its an ST is if it has a black wire about 30cm long coming out of the main part of the motor with a rubber end cap on it (this is where you plug in the foot pedal), it's a ST.

I Cant see anything written under the head unit, but it doesnt have the cord coming out of the main part.

the cable that comes out of the main part goes to a connector and then up to the head unit.

Does that just control the I pilot, Can I use the foot control and not the ipilot?

or fabricate some sort of switching system so that I can use both? haha
