And it will get us out to those just out of casting distance boats that are tied up?

The waters deep enough to get to those tied up boats i reckon and even though its a beefy boat you could always drift past them and cast.

It's a lovely boat breamaddict. It has an upfront casting platform.

My Dad bought it for me. It was 18 thousand dollar's, and guess where I got it from? A=Werribee.

You might be able to drift cast. I tried it in the dockland's one time, but it wasn't very good. But that was with my old boat. It was a crumby old swiftcraft searunner.

Dagga and Conehead,

Give it a crack guys. Dont worry about the size of your boat - it will do the job fine.

If you dont already have one, invest in a drogue - or even try a decent sized bucket tied off on 5 - 10m of rope. This will slow down your drift and ensure you get a few decent casts in before you drift out of the strike zone. Unfortunately a bit of current seems to trigger the bream to feed, so put up with it and those thumpers will soon be paying rent in your livewell.

If you do feel like hitting then from the shore and dont mind a hike, I can suggest a spot where genuine 50cm plus bream live.

The first time I saw the school I almost freaked and my fishing buddy, Jarrod - who worked with me at Cranbourne Fishing Tackle at the time - and I had to look twice to convince ourselves they weren't school jew. It will frustrate the hell out of you though because we've thrown everything at them ... and stuff-all. You might be the ones to crack the code.

If you're interested, send me a PM. The areas too fragile to hit en-masse.

Catch you on the water,

Angelo
