Must say I felt pretty confident with Don behind the wheel going flat out recently must be from when he raced Speedway

Lucky to be alive for sure don't know what the best contingency plan would be in that situation, bail out or try hold on

Here's one for the guys with tinnies although he doesn't stack it

Madaff is right, he had no idea what the wake would do to his boat. its like putting an L Plater in a V8 car and asking him to go as fast as he can on a wet and windy road. lack of experience will lead to an accident

When bass boats attack.....

Thanks for the post. While the vast majority of us don't take risks on the water with speed, its a worthwhile reminder of what can happen if things go pear shaped. (I can't take risks with speed anyway as I 'captain' a hornet!)

In a sense this is worse than a high speed car crash as there are no seatbelts/airbags. Did you see how hard he was flung against the deck/gunnel/whatever else he hit? How he didn't get a fractured skull and/or long term brain injury is just hard to fathom.

Thanks for the reminder.

TB

PS -I bet his rod locker was an interesting sight........

PPS - do any of you guys in your fast glass boats wear seat belts. I only ask as I have never seen anyone wearing them in the past and I don't go near the comps to see a lot of these boats at once.

Shows just how quick something nasty can happen. After seeing his boat chine walking im guessing it would of been a new boat and not knowing how to controll the boat........knobs in fast boats are just asking for trouble.

Cheers FW

I must admit I have had a few scary moments in my boat, during the learning process, but I do think that you need someone to film your boat so you can see what it is doing. I still think I need a little more wieght in the front of my boat, need someone to come out and ride along side with a camera.

For the lead up picks when it was flat and he was dancing around just on the arse end of the boat, seemed a little unstable. I wouldn't hit a wake with the boat dancing like that.

obvious lack of experiance....fuly trimed out crossing a wake at that angle your asking for trouble

i must admit b4 i worked out the ins and outs of my boat i got myself into some sketchy situations...you soon find out how to use the trim stick or suffer the reality that fast boats can and will kill you if you dont have any idea on how to control them
