Hey bud, I prefer the bright green for lure casting as it shows clearer and you can see takes on the plastics easier with a highly visible line. So if you walk into a tackle store and ask for 8lb Sunline Super PE in bright green they will either have it or get it in for you (it is distributed by EJ todds if you get asked).

For leader I would get a range of leaders all of them Sunline FC Rock fluorocarbon. To set yourself up grab a spool of 4lb, 6lb and 10lb. this will cover you for most applications from flats to light reefy areas through to heinous snags and larger species.

For a knot, have a crack at the improved slimbeauty. Here is a video of me tying one for your benefit.

Hope that helps you out. Any more questions just ask away.

NO YOU ARE NOT!!!

Wait a week a month or a year longer until yo can afford the sunline. Please for the love of all that is bream do not think that pink fireline 6lb is in anyway going to be as nice to fish with as the Super PE.

100% agree! for the sake of around $10 difference, do yourself a favour and get the superPE.

Water clarity normally determines the leader you may need to run. In clear water you may need to go down to 2 pound to get the good bites. If you are fishing heavy structure try to work out a balance where you run the lightest leader but still have enough abrasion resistance to get the fish back to the boat. In some cases you may find it really hard to get the good bits and need to go really light in heavy structure. All I can say is good luck and whined hard

If there is white fireline there I would get that over the pink. its not fantastic but does the job.

Cheers
Chris
