Well the TD-Z Style Silver Creek Presso is Made of Magnesium
08 style Silver Creek Presso Is Zaion and has some features over the 08 Presso Iprimi (Aluminium or Graphite Can't Remember).

When i was looking at a Presso i saw a thread on this in the forum some where. From memory the Iprimi is the downgraded version.

Less bearings
Doesn't have the 35mm Finesse handle
Has one less bearing
Doesn't have the oil spec bearings - handles better in cold weather from memory

Presso Iprimi is a 1503
Presso is 1003

And the more expensive one looks alot better

I looked at the Presso for months haha, why i know quite a bit about it. I might be wrong but im pretty sure those are the main differences, feel free to correct me

Your right that's pretty much it Between the New 08 Versions other than the weight due to the different materials.

But I prefer the TD-Z version the most

There is the old Presso which has the Old Style Daiwa Body (Gekka, Airity ect.), thats what he means by the TD-Z model. And yes the Iprimi is a cheaper and downgraded version of the Standard Presso. The standard Presso has the Zaion body while the Iprimi has the same body as the Infeet 2004 which is aluminium. You can purchase the 1003 model from Japantackle and I think PLAT has them.

Cheers,

No probs. I dont think you can buy the Presso in Australia so you will have to buy it overseas/online. They all retail for around $450AU

Japan Tackle - http://www.japantackle.com/Daiwa_ree...a_Presso08.htm
Bass.jp - http://www.bass.jp/reel.php?c=reel&m...=4960652740173

Do a review for us if you get one, Cheers

It would be nice. Even better hooked to that 50 cm Black in the pylons.

Some people do nothin but. I have an $800 3000 Branzino. Its amazing the new technology. You have to back the drag off so you don't rip the hooks out of a 5 kilo Salmon. 8 kilos of drag on a 5 kilo fish is jump time.

Metre Barra jump straight up. Where else do they have to go.

Love the finesse of the Presso, 1003 sized spool, 2kg drag and only holds like 100 metres of 4lb line... I'm definitely getting one for my next set up
