HELP ME!.. with a rod selection

I don't do much breaming these days and where I live theres not heaps on offer tackle wise for it.

I want to get a 6'8 -7'2 fast / ex fast taper rod, something real crisp in the 1-4kg range. cost isn't a major factor unless in excess of $500, I want new preferably - big fan of loomis but haven't had chop at any of there 'lighter' rod selection

I also want a new winding device for it, any opinions?

thanks, dale.

haha looks like I have been beaten to the punch.

anywhoooo I'd be going a Megabass Phase 3 Lycaon if you want that ex fast taper. It's only 6'4'' but what's 4inches anyway. The Deep Throat is a sick rod but doesn't have a super ex fast taper. More medium fast but they are both really crisp but the F1 Lycaon is a little stiffer.

The Harrier would suit as well. Super crisp and has a really fast action and cheaper.

Picked my brand new DSR GLX up from an online Aussie seller for $349 with free delivery middle of last year and so did quite a few others. Plus can get one from the States for about $370 last time i looked.

Not sure where you're looking but their are many places in Melbourne and on the net that will put you onto a DSR GLX for mid to high $300's. I paid $370 for mine and that was over a year ago. The difficult part now will be finding new ones.
