2019 - Your Top 10 Lures

Flicking back through the archives brought me to the classic top 10 lures posts and seeing as it has been a while, lets get a fresh and updated list going! It's always great to see the trends in lures and brands over the years and I'm betting there's going to be a few mainstays that have lasted the test of time.

So please share your list of the top ten lures that you throw around your local haunts, and feel free to include where you fish and what species of bream you target!

My Top 10:
1. Jackall Chubby Shallow - brown suji shrimp
2. Jackall Chubby Deep - brown suji shrimp
3. Bassday Sugapen - hf119
4. Jackall Squirrel 61SP - ghost gill
5. Zman Grubz 2.5 - motoroil
6. Cranka Crank Deep - flash prawn
7. Cranka Crab Heavy - olive
8. OSP Dunk 48 - p45 (ghost gill)
9. Jackall Chubby Shallow - ghost gill
10. Zman Slim Swimz 2.5 - greasy prawn

I don't fish any one place in particular but have spent most of my bream fishing time at Bribie Island and Forster targeting yellowfin bream. You can probably tell that I favour cranking weedbeds, edges and drop-offs by my list, and to be honest I'd never head out without a brown suji shrimp chubby.

Keen to see what everyone else's top ten lures are!

For me chasing black bream. I never leave home without the following lures in my bag . Colours, suspend/float, deep/shallow will depend on where I am fishing:
Daiwa double clutch 60
Daiwa double clutch 75
Bassday Kangoku shad 45
OSP Dunk 48 / Daiwa T Spike 53
ZipBaits Khamsin JR-DR 50
ZipBaits Rigge 56F
ZipBaits Skinny Pop Jnr 70
Ecogear MW 62F

Jackall Squirrel 61
I am trying(rarely) to incorporate some sp's into my fishing but I don't find them anywhere near as productive at the moment.
Regards, HBt.

Exactly! About time we had another one haha. I was looking back through them and following which were the "hot lures" and how they rise and fall. Seems like we've come a long way from sx40's and squidgie wrigglers as the go to

Regards, HBt.
I find the opposite. Much easier at the moment for me to get fish on plastics to the point now where I really don't have a go to HB except for maybe the DC sniper and P21 greedy guts.

Really must put some effort into trying the newer DC colours. Any suggestions mate?

So true ... but what to do when the stash runs out. They wont catch bream from their boxes in the drawer 😉. Regards HBt.
