For those who use Harris Fighter, if you have a roll of FC Rock in the same breaking strain, try this experiment.

Tie a back to back / double uni knot to join the FC rock to the Harris fighter, like you would join leader to braid. Same amount of turns on both lines.

After you have joined the 2 lines, grab the lines around a foot away from the knot, and pull them apart until one of them breaks, and report the results.

I tried this experiment after arguing with a mate as to which is stronger. I tried it using 3 lb, and 4 lb. 3 goes each. The Harris fighter broke around an inch before the knot every time.

Despite my findings, which may translate to didly squat in the field, I won't hesitate to use Harris Fighter. I have used it successfully in the past and I like it. I'm not bashing or endorsing products. I just personally reckon that FC Rock is superior

I use Varivas Shock Leader and FC, prefer the Varivas.

FC rock in 6lb and 4 lb used a spool of Td-r in 8lb lucky it was only 50m when i need some more 8lb it'll be FC Rock can't fault the stuff best value for $ and the paralell spooling makes a massive difference.

FC rock and varivas. Can't go past it. Both 4 an 6lb break well above breaking

Retails for around $19.95-$23.95.
2lb is the lowest.

FC Rock is the best value but I reckon the best flouro leader I've used is V-Hard. Just wish it wasn't so pricey.
