Steve just reminded me of something - Not one single person from WA attended the Bream Grand Final so what is the point of having a qualifying round in WA.

I pay my boaters entry as a thankyou for entering with me whenever i go to a qualifying round over east for a normal comp . But in the grandy as a non boater you are already in . And its cheaper as a non boater which makes me wonder why the non boaters didnt even bother to go ?

The Clarence is less than a 3hr drive from Brisbane, you'd almost call that a QLD event anyway.

The state that hosts the GF, has 2 qualifying events.

2014 is the year to get behind the ABT to help them get back up on their feet.

Without the ABT, we wouldn't be able to have any of the events that we have now (classics included!)

Every one in the boat bream tournament scene in W.A should get a yak.

Opens up a whole new bream series tournament for them.

Yes I have been lucky enough to do very well out of comps in Wa and I am very thankful of my results .
I would love to go and do some over east comp but just can't justify the costs to do it. Just to drive over fish I am looking at 2-3k and to be honest would rather spend my $$$ on trips elsewhere.

Seeing as it's all east coast ABT events this year I might head over and do Coota as I would like to see how I fair on the bigger stage on the east coast.

Question is, why aren't the boat comps relaxed, used to be good fun with a lot of cameraderie. What happened ??

Probably my fault John - stems from the top, I am just too serious and hard nosed - for 2014 all the competitors can weigh their own fish and record the results - that'll liven things up
