Yeah but it still doesn't mean they could not have made an honest mistake? I agree, if you have time to reply to these posts you should make the time to contact the store. I agree the Compleat Angler can be a little bit more expensive but I am willing to pay a bit extra for the convenience and knowing that they will have a reasonable range of the type of gear I need. I would find it hard to believe that they could deliberately charge 50% more in their Melb store compared to Sydney for the same product. I could be wrong but we will never know.

sydney's economy might be different to melbourne and because i live in perth it should vary aswell.
aww you might call it being lazy that i dont call but im just going to bite my lip and learn from it and shop around next time. you find bargains and you fall for bad deals.

that TD sensor briad that i bought was absolute crap. i was using 15lb on 5 kilo yellowfin tuna and it snapped on me like 10 times in a day, my fireline is better then it, and cost me half the price.

For you, I have caught some nice fish on my 4lb with no problems. From kilo trevally and salmons to a few 36cm Sydney breams.

it may have been a bad spool but i was with dylan when he was using it and it was SH!T from memory it was supposed to be 15lb and it snapped like cotten, the leaders and everything were fine but the braid just kept breaking, even the spool of 8lb he had was crap (again might have been a bad batch) but i had 10lb castaway catching multable 5kg yellowfin on the bream stick while dylans line broke again and again, and no there were no cutts or scratches in the guids or roller bearing

I personally havent had trouble with sensor, but i know guys that have had bad batches of 4lb and 6lb. just kept breaking very easy. if you get some like it, just take it backto the place of purchase and they should replace it. most stores would know of it.

I've been using the same spool of TD Sensor 6Lb for about a year and a half now and have never had a problem with it yet. I think its great had a couple of wind knots but nothing major and I will keep on using it

well worth the $60 that i payed for it

I have had a couple of drama's like 4lb wrongly badged as 6lb but saying the gear is crap is a joke, it's far the best line i have used to date, i have some sunline cast away to try next... Ive landed big fish on the 6lb sensor ..

Daiwa's OK, but I'd stay away from 4lb. It just breaks too easily. Once it gets a bit scuffed it loses all it's strength. I did have a batch of 6lb that was great, but then bought another that was rubbish...go figure, I must of gotten a bad batch. Maybe quality control needs attention?

Now I'm using Sunline Super PE in 6lb and am very happy. Half the cost and exact same performance as the good Daiwa stuff.

Hows the colour going after a year and a half? How has it handled sun exposure and what is the severity of the fading, if any at all?

All braids will fade in colour, it's inevitable but shouldn't affect performance.

the colour has faded a little but has not affected the line I always take my spool off and try to give it a rince out with the hose when I get home

I try to get as much salt off my gear as soon as possable
