I think the problem may lie with the knot. Not the way in which it was tied but the knot it self. I have found that different fluro's have different properties and as such some knots are not as effective as others, no matter how well they are tied. Through a lot of trial and error I found the twisted leader knot works best for me with the Yam and has never let go. Play with some different knots and you may be surprised at the results.
