Colour Adjustment + Sharpening
Here we go again!
For this image i wanted to make the colour abit warmer and sharpen the image a little bit. Step 1: Open your image in PS Step 2: Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Colour Balance Step 3: Leave this window as if. Click ok Step 4: Colour Balance slide bars will open. Now for this image it was a bit blue and cold. So what i have done is pulled the yellow/blue slide bar into the yellow(-20) to pull back the blue. Next i added red(+20) to warm up the image abit more. Step 5: Layers > Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast Step 6: Next we'll brighten up the image just a little(+10) We'll also add some contrast to make the image pop alittle. Step 7: Duplicate your background layer. This is for the sharpening. Step 8: For Sharpening I like to use Unsharp Mask. Filters > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask Step 9: Unsharp Mask box will open. Set a radius of about 4pixels, Threshold 0. Simply slide amount bar till your happy with the amount of sharpening. For this image i only managed to pick up in Rebeccas' hair and around her eyes. And again a before and after shot. Hope you found this useful.
