Yaks
I doubt that ABT would supply Yaks for these events Shano, pretty sure they don't offer any in WA for interstate fishers.
You can confirm this by sending a PM to Steve Morgan on this forum. You could also try for a loaner in Tas by posting on one of the forums that Tassie Yakkers might frequent, "sportsfish Tas, Fishin Monthly etc. St Helens is a fair way from the major cities in Tas so would require a bit of organisation for a WA yakker. Great venue for a yak comp though, good luck.

Sometimes the Hobie dealers in each state can bring loaners and live wells for folks,,it depends on what dealers doing the turnout , the local dealer will cook breakfast have the lunch packs ready etc so they have to be there, have spare parts etc,,
In the ABT 2011 Guide Tamar Marine says they are Tassies no.1 dealer (03)63316188 so they might be doing it, otherwise one of the Victorian pro team mob such as Scott lovig Hobie in mornington might be doing a run over the pond with they trailer he might be able to throw a demo model and live well on board,,otherwise ring Hobie Australia (Steve Fields) and he could be of help,, At the Grand Final you will be supplied with a kayak and a livewell so thats sorted (Hobie supplies 55 kayaks fully setup) |

Thanks for the info guys.
Ill pm Steve Morgan and also try to contact Guide Tamar Marine to see if they can do anything. It'll take a bit of organising to do but if its too much hassle ill just do both the qualifying events as a non boater (st helens and derwent). Thats the beauty of all these events being run over 3 consecutive weeks.

Get your entry in soon then Shano, I understand there is a bit of a waitlist for NBs to get on to a boat at the moment??

Monday the entry form will be posted.
Yeah im leaving a bit fine due to the recent holiday to Hong Kong for three weeks. If there arent anymore non boater positions available ill just try to fall back on the kayak round in st helens. But ive just got to get a kayak sorted out first before i make any entry form committments.
