Craig, you hard nosed . What did you penalise someone or something

As a Yakker Im happy to stick with the Getaways events if that's all we are worth. Certainly nothing wrong with those events in recent times.

Perhaps the ABT needs to change names to the Non ABT or similar as its far from Australia wide it seems.....

With the backing of Getaway Outdoors the WA Kayak scene will flourish.

John - no, no penalties yet - let me know what comp you are next fishing and I will see what I can arrange

Dave - you could be right regarding Yardi. I have seen Mods in action and he loves to let those punches and kicks fly - looks pretty funny when his opponent is twice his size though but he won't die wondering.

2 Boaters compete in the ABT GF last year (Charlie and I) and both put in a lot of effort (especially Charlie) to make it happen. Plus, a few Non-boaters (Housey, Greg, Suzie)... I would have again this year if I qualified (missed out by 50 grams).

In saying that, however, I'm not too fussed about no WA ABT next year as I'll be in VIC next season

I pay my boaters entry as a thankyou for entering with me whenever i go to a qualifying round over east for a normal comp . But in the grandy as a non boater you are already in . And its cheaper as a non boater which makes me wonder why the non boaters didnt even bother to go ?

Does that include a peddle kayak such as a Hobie ?

Some folks with bad backs go alright in them..the seats in the PA 12/14 are like a lounge chair.

That's why I stopped yakking initially as well but I'm yet to ride in a PA... Might get me 'back' into it.

This came off facebook today, the last two sentences pretty much underpin everything, the reason for the scaling back and the fact that they will return to where they have been in the past

Australian Bass Tournaments
We feel it necessary to respond to some people's disappoint and queries about our lack of events in Tas and Vic next year.

Running events in these areas come at a great cost for a QLD based business like ours, in the past these costs have been unwritten by other supporters and businesses.

We've run events in areas such as Vic and Tas over the past few years to demonstrate and showcase the value of fishing to local tourism authorities.

Unfortunately without support from these bodies to defray the costs we cannot continue to operate.

However we will continue to work with Tourism in those markets and hopefully the return of ABT won't be far away.

Please be aware that our reduction of events in many areas is a financial decision and nothing more.

We anticipate that it also will not be forever.

Yardi will be a push over unless he gets me in a head lock. hes eaten to many pies. keep him moving round the cage then stike when he is huffing and puffing. 3rd round TKO. what does this have to do with the WA ABT events? nothing at all but its more interesting to me now I live in Melbourne. Man im a W@nK@ some times. any WA crew feel free to head over and crash at mine if you want to fish VIC except Suzie

Ok boys looks like it is on.

The next time Mods is in town we will have an ABT fight night at the MMA Clinic in Willeton.

Headline event is Yardi vs Mods
Supporting bouts will include:
Vegas vs Luke
Ozzy vs the world
Doc Hollywood will take on his reflection
Bender vs pointless as he won't turn up

Any other match ups people would like to suggest?
