On a spin reel? I would too. Saying that it used to be my favourite for general casting before Tatsu and sugoi grey.

That looks awesome, should look up some tuning houses to colour match the screws with hex nuts and many these handles.

Cheers guys, mcyl for some reason I despise round Eva, especially on a finesse outfit, I think the round fat profile is very awkward to hold compared to the flat I knob in between ya fingers.

Cheers for the suggestion though it sure looks good that's for sure

Second that matt

Round eva is an abomination on a reel, no matter how you tart it up

You might want to start by spooling, tying a decent 10g sinker on set CC right up mag on max. And give a 1/2 dozen good hard casts to settle it in.

Also when you cast start with a CC settling that gives a slow fall first. After a while your thumb gets used to it.

I've seen some weird stuff happen with FC...but still it's a useful choice along with PE and mono

What model volkey is that and how do you compare the taper to the tournament specialist rods

It's the 5-10lb 66 model. It's a fair bit ballsier through the middle than the TNSB but it really should be considering it's rating. They are both beautiful rods.

Here's to the Cranking ones

Here's to the cranking ones:

Millionaire I'ze Light mounted on the X-10 Crankbait for 8-20lb
Esmeraldas 2506W (Air metal) on the FX-762 Elixir for 2-6lb

I wanted to depart from a pair of carbon plastic reels and a Daiwa hat. Boy did I make it hard on myself, taken 2 years to find the BC and 9 months to find the spinner.

This pair harks back to an age where quality and detail meant beauty both inside and out. Perhaps I'll take a pic with the gearside sideplates
