Catching bream and perch shagged my 2500 ci4's in no time so I hate to think what barra and jacks would do to them

Figure out what rod you're using first, then get the reel that feels good in the hand when attached to the rod. Makes it easier because you take the rod into the shop and say I wanna try a ci4,fj,caldia, saros, symmettre. Then you can cross them off really quick.

Yeah taking my rod into my local on the weekend when there having a sale, looked in there today and asked they reckon the 2500 freams. Still not sure weather to go a shimano Stradic or a 2500 Daiwa.
