JDM bass baitcast rods
...looking for a high quality JDM (or other high end) rod as a 'bass' weight baitcaster to chuck my core 50 on....looking at casting 1/4 -1/2oz. Here's the catch, preferably around 6ft, no longer than 6'3" and if over 6' then gotta be 2 piece...any bass fishos know of any that'd be sweet. Hit us up with suggestions if you know of any...peace

Evergreen if you have the $$$, or majorcraft if u want something cheaper. Also check out the Palms rods from Plat etc. Palms were supposed to be freely available here but getting stock seems like a problem for the distributor.

Unfortunately but usually, I found most high end baitcast rods are 1pc, especially around 6' which is not too long. Going longer to 7'up, you would expect some 2pc.
For 2pc around 6' you have to go lower end such as Majorcraft, Abu Garcia, Graphiteleader's Bosco and Veloce, Daiwa's Blazon.....with Veloce which I think is the better option among them. |

I am getting a Duff bass baitcaster made now. I will let you know what I think when I get it. Its 6'9" and 3-5 kg but you can get anything made. Have you thought about getting a custom made up how you want it?
Its made for chucking spinnerbaits and jackalls and some of the best bass fishos in the country are using them. Cheers Chris

For really high end series that hv 2pc models, I can only remember Daiwa's Heartland and Shimano's World Shaula.
While Heartland usually made 2pc rods for 7'up model, World Shaula might match with Core perfectly. Hv to mention, they re so called "1.5pc" rather than 2pc separated in the middle. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/rod/1675 Personally I still prefer Graphiteleader's due to its lighter weight to match with a light reel. |
