So, nearly 3 years on and imcurious to see how those that started using the Hurricane bents have found them?
I for one had great success and have bought and lost more. I quite like the fact they aren't super buoyant and I can work them subsurface. Unless the bream are really smashing them on surface I found getting them under can entice the strike. They have even proved themselves handy fishing mussel racks. I've recently grabbed some OSP and Austackle so keen to compare for myself when it warms up a bit. So how's everyone fishing them?? Last edited by donga; 17-09-2017 at 10:15 PM. |

I started with osp and had just average results only worked when the bream/EP's were working the surface.
Bought a coulple of the small Hurricanes and experimented with retrieve. Found I could sink them and fish sub surface. Had a lot of success on the Glenelg outfished everything else over a five day stay. Then blitzed the bream at the Bemm. Even in 800 mm of watet the ability to sink a smaller minnow and have the same action replicated on the surface half way back to the boat. Outfished the sx40 LC which astonished me.
