olympus

...ive really bashed mine around for 18 months in the salt n its still going fine, the only problem i had was when i recently stuck it under water behind a game boat at trolling speeds and it got water intrusion at that pressure, but after a week when i thought it was dead, it came back to life...its saltwater immersion days might be over tho, on the 6000, the vids time out after 10 secs on the highest quality setting...audio is shocking!, so i usually just wack a soundtrack over the footage...heres a vid of a recent trip, olympus 6000 tough

I never new this was possible. Just made the olympus a bit more apealing for me. I think 4Gb would be fine, I was just a bit worried about only 2Gb for video recording etc.

But most people would be happy with the Olympus pics from this thread

Olympus 6000
- Great Price
- Ruggedness
I really want the best of both worlds Need it to be rugged because 90% of the time its going to be tossing around in my fishing backpack. I also like the idea of the 1280 x 720 50fps video on the FT1 though.

I think if I can find an FT1 for a cheap price (<$430 or so hopefully) then I'll get it, otherwise I'll just get the Olympus. For $300 or so, I think it will be hard to beat.

I have read this elsewhere but it isn't the case for me. My record time is only limited by memory and battery. Possibly because I am using the micro SD with adapter and not the XD card.

It is defs the highest setting too I checked.
