Should shave about an hour off getting to Flemmo for the blokes who travel at 5 knots....... and save a few speeding fines for the blokes who dont

That sounds good for the river, but not so sure about the new boat ramp.

Yeah there's few pros and cons depending how you use the river.

If you're a land based angler, the increased boat pressure may not be what your after.

I'm tipping the rowers arent going to like it - more boats equals more wet laps from boat wake - and boats launching and retrieving across there course is sure to cause some altercations

But the blokes who used to take 2 hours to get to the upper reaches by boat will probably like it.

It might take a bit of stress off the warmies ramp aswell.

So, as an "outta towner" would you also have to pick ya days to use the new ramp?
I'd have thought race day would be a no no.

Yeah not sure how that will go - On Melbourne cup day it might shut down - but on smaller race days it wouldnt be a problem.

The proposed ramp would be located on a strip of land outside the race track on the back straight - its currently a walking track open to the public.
