G'day Locky,

That would be for the Vic Trout anglers, in NSW it is still another 40 odd days for the rivers to open.

Your right thought it has been a bit of a long wait..

im just learing how to fly fish atm! so it will be sick if i can get one on fly. so eager to get big ones. i think the lakes are going slow around here with bullen merri and purrumbete not going crazy but i reckon they would still be getting some big ones out.

Glad it's not just me

Most of the fishing I do is for Trout and I have just bought a Fly rod also, hopefully with a bit of practice in the lakes around my Estate it will lead to my first Trout on a fly as I haven't done it before.....
Cheers.

No I don't mate, I mainly stay around the west Gippy/LV area....
Going to a private lake with a mate in a couple of weeks though, canoes, fly/spin and plenty of big Trout apparently.
Cheers.
