Ive used the Majorcraft Slicer 662 2-4kg......for most ppl using it for bream and small stuff they're fine...but when you push towards the limit they lack abit power when compared to my HL-Z Finesse Special (Tubular Power Slim). So what Im really after is a multi purpose rod.

Try Hard, he's built those himself, and that's what the rods weigh!! GUSA blanks (correct me if I'm mistaken Cowboy!!).

Those rods would be friggin' unbelievable... I believe he uses recoil guides too and the lightness... I thought the rods I use are light, Loomis SR842-2 at 95 grams and the lightest I've ever used. The 40g rod would be unbelievable... only thing is, you'd have to find a super light reel to match otherwise the outfit might be imbalanced. Light reels are hard to find, unless you're willing to part with $800 for a Stella 1000 (do they make them in 500 size?) or Exist 1003.

To answer the original question:
Loomis SR842-2 IMX
Loomis Dropshot DSR820S GLX
Loomis SJR782 IMX
Loomis SJ6400 GL3 (really old model)

Luvias 1003 mate. I know, 40 g is unbelievably light. That's Recoils, really short thread wraps, and about a bee's wick of epoxy. Really abbreviated cork split grip, and reel attached with RodWrap tape. No stickers, buttwraps, decorations, no exceess epoxy anywhere.

Sound about right there Brad?
