i was wondering which pound braid would be best for flatties and bream. I recently used 8 but found that to heavy so i was considering going lighter but i dont want to have to deal with wind knots can anyone help me

i am sorry there has probably been hundreds of threads like this but can't be bothered to look for one

Cheers Harry

i agree, i used to use 3 lb power pro and 4 lb fc rock and it was a ball on bigger flatties ( i think biggest on that combo was 68 ) but fun none the less now i just use 8 lb super pe and change leader size

I've been using some super thin Toray Saltwater Light Fish braid in 4lb for the past few months and after 1000's of casts in all conditions, I'm yet to have even the smallest wind knot. Prior to using this line, I was a big fan of Sunline PE in 6lb which only gave me the very occasional wind knot.

I can highly recommend Toray Saltwater Light Fish braid. I've just ordered my second spool for my new Certate.

Really depends on what braid you want to use in my opinion. Do you have any brands that you prefer?

Hard to beat Fireline in 4lb. Stren Lazerbraid i find excellent in 6lb. Only around $12 as well.
