Everybody loves a mini trip away, well done to all the qualifiers. Even if a season of only 1 or 2 fish scrapped you into the 24 you have a better chance then any on this tough fishery!

Due to popular demand or the number of people who have never been on this system before, we have (I was outvoted) decided to give you till the 25th before the pre fish ban will come into force. This means no competing boats will be allowed on the water on or after the 25th of October (Wednesday) until the navigation day on the Friday before the event.

Please keep in mind if you are pre fishing that the earliest we have seen a tagged fish get recaptured is 1 month so the anecdotal evidence would suggest any fish you catch in pre fish will be one that is not weighed in on comp day...

I can see everyone going on Amzon to get copies of "luring the black Bream" even though its a bit of a different fishery now.

Very true John, I have left this system contemplated selling all my gear after a competition double donut.
Good point here Ian, lets hope there are more eyes on the sounder than lures in the water..

Four days to go till entries close. If you have not got your entry form or payment in, and you intend to fish the Grand Final you need to do it very soon...

Still waiting on

Well we are almost ready to roll on down to Walpole, we have a prize pool of nearly $8000 in cash and prizes with $3900 in cash up for grabs. Considering it was only a 2 round season the prizes are pretty good. We will be paying out 1-10 plus Hobie Polarized Big Bream of $500.

We also have quite a few spot prizes to give away.

We will not have a briefing on the Friday night so that you can use the time to sort out your gear and get ready for the big day ahead of you. Briefing will be Saturday morning 0640 sharp. Registration will be open from 0600. Please be sure to be there by the briefing or you will have to wait for everyone else to leave and then have your briefing... No exceptions.

We will be supplying bacon and egg sandwiches coffee tea etc on the Sunday Morning and tea and coffee on the Saturday morning.

Look forward to seeing you all down there.

Good luck to everybody going down & safe travels .

Will be very interesting tournament with a lot of the field not fishing the venue before or just on the prefish , I think we will see an " old school flavour" up on the podium this year & new breed of anglers struggling at the venue .

For the rest of us at home waiting on snippets from the venue I will be keen on hearing what's happening in 2018 and a possible exciting new format coming our way , rumour has it information will be revealed at Walpole .

Might catch up with a few folk at the Mandurah nationals in the kayaks ( as a spectator )

Good luck to all & have an awesome weekend away .
