Thumbs up Berkley's new fireline Exceed.

I was at DohDohDoh today looking for some line.
When I got to the counter I handed a spool of power pro braid to the salesman and he asked If I had seen the new Berkley Exceed.
I had a look at the 6.6lb exceed and it looked awesome it was only .09 dia thick and the 8.8lb was 0.12 thick, mind you the standard 6pnd berkley is 0.15 dia.
This was the best part a spool of 8.8lb at 148yards/135mtr only cost me $24.95.
I did a couple knots and I could not break them.
Next time your at DohDohDoh check them out see what you think.

It was nice having orange in the mix cause most of my line's a yellow and green.

I got the 3.3lb and wasn't happy with it at all. Casted really well but after 5 wind knots I wont be using it again. Maybe the thicker stuff is better I dunno.

Ha ha that's the exact reason I went for the 8.8lb.
I have a dam about 50mtr behind my house, think I'll have a few flicks and see what happens in the wind.
Unfortunately no fish in the dam but could change soon cause I've seen a good amount of bug life in there.
Red fin would love it.

Wink

I got he stuff about a month ago and it's the best really or at least the best I've had. the only cons about it is the colour fade and the cutting into your laeder other than that it casts like a bullet with light gear and is just great stuff

Picked up some today in 2kg/4.4lb and its scarily thin at 0.07mm

If I had of actually realised quite how thin it was compared with my 3lb crystal I'd have probably gone for the 3kg exceed

I'm debating about not even putting it on one of my siennas (1000 or 2500) to test and instead and waiting til I pick up a Symetre or Stradic FI 1000 when my next pay check comes through because they might handle the line better

I've also bough 4lb today and it is scarily thin what would be the best pound for bream and flatheads I'm thinking about the 8lb?? or is that too thick or heavy for bream

I've got the 3.3lb and that's the thinnest braid I've seen.

i've been using the 5.5lb and can honestly say that apart from fins its the best braid ive used! havent had a single drama with wind knots and its strenght is unbelievable! running power pro on my other 4 outfits but will be changing to exceed as soon as finances allow even been using it for surf spinning and it casts like a dream!
