Sunline V-Hard vs FC Rock

Anyone know the difference between the two?

V-hard comes in spools half the length and cost more, is it worth the extra?

I Have FC rock in 2lb increments from 4 to 20lb. All but the 6 lb has been great. Extremely happy with the line in general but dissapointed that the 6lb I have is brittle. Snaps when I pull tight knots (after lubrication) otherwise its great value for money. Cost me a nice fish friday night

I think V-Hard has an extra coating on it or something so its stiffer and more abrasion resistant. Not worth the extra $ though in my oppinion. I use FC rock and love it.

V-HARD is prone to snapping and breaking because its stiffer ,stick with Rock

Must have been a bad batch. I've been using 6lb. Fc rock for over a year now and it's flawless like the rest of the weights you tried

Both are great leaders and have impressed many a time with both and what they can stand up to, I use 6lb Rock with no issues (a lot better then other brands ie. nitlon) and really like the 4lb VHard, even if it is way to over priced.

Yeah it's only the 6lb that I'm having troubles with. the 4lb is brilliant and wont use another brand as it is such good value.

Yep FC Rock for me as well. Have used V-Hard and had nothing but trouble with it. It just kept breaking at the knots. Was not sure if it was just a bad batch but have not bothered using it again.

I must be the only one who likes V-Hard around here.

I think it's a superb fluoro, but having said that you have to be confident with your leader material, so if Rock works for you stick with it.
