6lb Seaguar Opinions

Looking through my leader line before the glenelg comp and noticed i got barely any line on each spool and im pretty broke, was wondering what people think of this line, is it something i can rely on in a comp or is it plain cheap for a reason?

Thanks

Thanks Pete,
I noticed the diameter of the line is much thinner then Vanish thinking of maybe getting the 8lb Seaguar instead which is supposedly only a fraction thicker then the vanish in 6lb.

I had some of my mates 4lb seaguar and i noticed it broke pretty easily compared to 4lb Vanish but then it was MUCH thinner then the vanish.

Have you put the Seaguar under some good strain, eg hooked anything on bream gear that thats not really ment for bream gear like a jewie

Glenelg is ment to hold good supply of the critters and if i hook one i dont wanna lose my first jewie or lose a kicker bream in the comp.

I have used the 6lb Seaguar and it's reasonable. It is thin, and as a result breaks quickly if it touches anything. In my opinion Yamatoyo 6lb is far better if you want to spend a couple of bucks extra. Cheers

its ok line reasonable priced compared to a line like yamatoyo but for a reason. i personally thought it was ok thickness but the knot strenght was nothing like other flourcarbons it seemed to slip and weaken the line strenght when knoted. it isnt shocking stuff but there is better out there especially if entering a comp with it.

mate its not really cheap, but certainly a good price for a quality product,i havent used it for a long time but the times i have used its been really good,if u were just buying 1 spoool got he 8,imo.they also make a leader called grand max which is the
sh!t ,great for comps but a bit pricey for general breaming.

Thanks guys but i couldnt do it, i had to get something i had faith in, so i picked up some of the leader Vanish. I know people get bad batches but i had more confidence in it then the seaguar..

Any one notice that the leader vanish is thicker then the normal vanish?

Dagga I will give you a spool of 6lb spinning flouro from Yamatoyo. It is cheaper in their range but still great value and reliable, as all the Yama lines.
