Well anything up to around 1/8oz (and possibly 1/6oz) would be as heavy as I would go. I'm sure fish can still be caught on extremely heavy jigheads but the action of the lure is hindered and the size of the lead and hook makes for a clumsy rig e.g., lure plummets down straightening the tail action rather than a flutter.

I'd be looking elsewhere for a different type of rig or SP if fishing off the beach. There's just many more alternatives out there and a small lure like the grubz is more suited for finesse fishing in skinny water. Other people may have different opinions on this but those are mine.

Say for pier, something anywhere between 1/32 - 1/12 would be the go. Lighter jigs for working in close to the pylons for the extra long time in the strike zone.

You can target all those species you mentioned with any size grubz. Most of those fish listed will prefer small lures bar flathead. However, I've caught some decent whiting on big lures and jigs (3/8oz 80mm SP).

Well that's my 2c. I'm sure many other people have their own opinions and can help you out.

Everyone's got their favourites but if you are talking bream, you can't go wrong with any of the brown colours (such as bloodworm and motoroil).

i hope the 2 inch grub will come in the hardy head colour. They look good with those new squiggly orange hidden weight heads

How can I use these in reefy or weedy areas without getting snagged ?.

I just purchased the TT - Tournament Jigheads, but kept getting snagged.

How should I rig the Grubz on the standard TT jighead ?, or do I need a specific jighead ?.

Thanks
