Cheers, gotta say it has been a pleasure to do when I get things done. The last little peices are being a bit of a pain mainly due to having to slot them in around babysitting. As I sit here now with two of the bolts in the leccie done. (Only ones I could reach on my own), I'm waiting for the wife to arrive so I can get out of here to my m8's place to have the leccies wires extended to the battery position and to connect the sounders up. Then its just fit the hinges in the hatch and a strap for the same and were done!

Well it was a scramble to have things done in time for the trip but it was done. The hinges were put in with just minutes to spare before hitting the bitumen bound for Nelson.

Below are some pics I took from Simpsons Landing of the completed rig.

I gotta say I'm pretty happy with everything except the transducer bracket wich was not big enough to accommodate the sounder trannie and the speed / temp trannie. The later being siliconed to the transom which worked for a while 8) :

The sections of the River I fished are still clear. The flats down stream of the pub are dirty. Talking to Chris at the Boat Hire, more rain is needed. As for it producing, well ............. I'll put up a pictorial report soon.

Something you guys might also be able to help with is whether or not there is a comercially available item that will allow mw to swivel the sounder mounted at the helm so that I can view it from the casting deck as well.

Thanks for that Dave, I'll look into them. The pricey bit may preclude any further action on them after that though.

M8 wanted to thank u also for all your help in getting my refit done. I used yours and many other sources from various sites pictures both for inspiration and ideas so cheers Cheers for your help.

Oh ya might wanna get that green death u call beer off the menu too and replace it with something civil ..........West End Draught! Ummmm did I just say that ? I meant James Boags Premium! LOL

Sorry for the late reply Fishy only just noticed this thread near the top again and wondered y

Mate not as stable as the likes of a hornet or explorer which is why I'd be looking to upgrade to something like that in the not too distant future, but its not to bad. It can be a bit of a problem when two up, but I think this is indicative of many similar sized tinnies. It just means each of you needs to be considerate of what you are doing and be mindful of what movements you make.

One up or with my 2 year old son is no problem at all provided you keep ya head about what you doing and stay when the confines of the abilities of the hull. For a young bloke who probably weighs next to nothing (assuming thats a recent picture of you in ya avatar), I doubt u'd have a problem. I weigh around 90kg so I'm a lump of an old fart.

Best of luck with your refit.

Nice job CK having been in the tinny a few times I know how structurally sound she is. What I am interested in is the material you used for the frame cheers m8
